
COOKING

Before Use: hand wash in hot, soapy water, rinse, and then dry

Make sure the whistle lever is pushed fully in so that the whistle hole is completely open and free of any obstructions

Place lid on pot, making sure the lid covers the entire pot opening and that the whistle spout is above the pot opening and facing away from the user

Turn on the heat and the lid will whistle when the water reaches a boil

Use a kitchen mitt to handle the lid and remove it from the pot or to close the whistle lever to turn off the whistle sound.NEVER handle the lid without a kitchen mitt and NEVER place your hand or any body part directly above the whistle as the steam can burn through many types of oven mitts.
CLEANING

Your Magic Whistling Lid does not need to be washed after use, but you may want to clean it off from time to time.

When you clean your Magic Whistling Lid, it is recommended to hand wash in hot, soapy water, rinse, and then dry
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the lid does not whistle when the water is boiling:

Close and re-open the whistle hole via the push-in lever making sure the whistle hole is open and free of any obstructions

Make sure that the lid covers the entire pot opening.The lid will not work if there is not physical contact with the complete top edge of the pot (e.g., pots with a small pouring spout on the side)
